PROTECTION OF R&D RESULTS
The Innovation Unit provides advice and support for the protection and management of research results, including patents and utility models. It also manages the registration and protection of software and trade secrets. The Unit also promotes the transfer of research results to industry and their implementation in healthcare services, with the aim of translating research outcomes generated at INCLIVA into practical applications.
If you have an innovative idea that could benefit the hospital or have potential for industry, please let us know by completing the Idea Disclosure Form and sending it to innovacion@incliva.es.
If you already have a well-defined innovative result that could be registered or otherwise protected for transfer to industry or implementation in the hospital, please let us know by completing the Research Result Disclosure Form and sending it to innovacion@incliva.es.
SUPPORT FOR INNOVATION PROJECTS
The Innovation Unit provides advice and support for the preparation of proposals and the management of innovation projects submitted to competitive funding calls. It also supports the establishment of collaborative R&D initiatives between research organisations and industry.
In addition, the Unit promotes joint programmes with several universities, including:
VLC-Bioclinic, in collaboration with the University of Valencia.
UPV-Clinic, in collaboration with the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV).
TRAINING IN INNOVATION
The Innovation Unit provides training on key aspects of innovation through a range of specialised training programmes, including:
- Patentability and knowledge protection.
- Competitive funding opportunities for innovation.
- Entrepreneurship.
- Research and technology valorisation.
The Unit also fosters collaboration with other organisations and the development of joint projects through co-creation workshops based on a proven methodology.

TECHNOLOGY WATCH AND STRATEGIC INTELLIGENCE
The Innovation Unit produces regular bulletins providing up-to-date information on trends, patents, clinical trials, relevant news, events and other developments. Topics are selected based on both internal activities and developments in the external environment, helping the institution understand the competitive landscape, identify emerging opportunities and anticipate potential challenges.
The Unit also provides tailored reports to address specific technology and innovation intelligence needs.
