Dr. Carmen Carda Batalla has a double degree in Medicine (1983) and Dentistry (1994) from the University of Valencia. In 1984 she obtained an FPU research grant that allowed her to carry out his first doctorate in Medicine (1988) developing a human tumor xenograft model in nude mice, directed by professors Llombart and Peydró, a pioneer at that time and who earned him the Doctorate Award from the University of Valencia and the National Award for Doctoral Thesis. With this, she began her professional relationship with the University of Valencia, both in terms of teaching and research, beginning as an assistant professor and reaching the category of Full Professor over the years. Subsequently, she graduated in Dentistry (1995) developing her second doctorate at the University of Granada.

She has researched over the years in the field of experimental oncology and tissue engineering, being a reference in ultrastructural approaches to the diagnosis and pathology and engineering of ciliary tissues. She has worked full time at the University for more than thirty years and has been positively evaluated by external evaluators, having six research periods and six teaching periods.

She is the author of more than one hundred and eleven scientific publications in indexed journals, fifteen book chapters, two hundred contributions to congresses, forty-eight invited lectures, and has actively participated in more than twenty research projects and fifteen awards for scientific work.
