INCLIVA Living LAB

Introduction

INCLIVA has a Living Lab, an open innovation environment that uses user-centred methodologies to design, develop and validate technologies, services and solutions in real-world settings. The Living Lab brings together the active participation of multiple stakeholders—including patients, healthcare professionals, researchers and technology companies—to address complex challenges in healthcare.

Services

Identification and validation of clinical needs

Clinical needs are identified and validated using qualitative and quantitative evidence gathered from key stakeholders. This approach enables the prioritisation of high-impact challenges and helps align innovation efforts with the strategic objectives of the healthcare system.

Co-creation of solutions

INCLIVA organises co-creation activities using Design Thinking methodologies to engage end users from the outset, fostering collaboration among citizens, healthcare professionals, universities and companies.

Value Assessment

INCLIVA assesses the impact of innovative solutions in terms of value, clinical efficiency and quality of care through testing in real-world and simulated environments. This approach makes it possible to evaluate their effectiveness in clinical practice and healthcare management.

Usability Testing

INCLIVA engages end users in usability studies to evaluate innovative solutions, applying its own methodology throughout the entire process—from defining indicators to data analysis and delivery of the final report

The Living Lab is funded as part of the UCIE-INCLIVA project, under grant reference INNVA2/2024/1, by IVACE+i and co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Programme 2021–2027.

This funding reinforces the commitment to knowledge transfer in healthcare and public-private collaboration, facilitating the valorisation of innovation and its translation into market and clinical applications, while contributing to a stronger R&D ecosystem in the Valencian Community.
